Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the prices, taxes and tools on FinalPrice: why a bill can differ from the price shown, how USD plans are converted, how to share your budget and how your data is handled.

Where do I find the final price of a subscription?

Open the FinalPrice calculator, pick your service and your province, and every plan is listed with the taxes of your province already applied. Providers can change prices at any time, so always confirm the final amount on the official pricing page.

Can I add several subscriptions and see my total with tax?

Yes. Use the FinalPrice calculator to add as many subscriptions as you like, choose your province, and see your monthly and yearly total with taxes. Your cart stays in your own browser and nothing personal is stored.

Why is my bill different from the price shown?

FinalPrice shows regular prices before tax. Your bill can differ because of sales tax, currency conversion and foreign-exchange fees charged by your bank or card issuer on plans billed in USD or EUR, promotions or introductory rates, and price changes made by the provider after the date shown. Use the calculator for the tax and the conversion, and confirm the final amount on the provider’s official pricing page.

Are the prices on provider websites before or after tax?

It depends on the provider. Many Canadian pricing pages show the price before sales tax and add it at checkout, while others show a tax-included price, so check the fine print on the provider’s page. FinalPrice lists the price before tax and adds the tax of your province separately.

How are USD and EUR plans converted to Canadian dollars?

Plans billed in US dollars or euros are converted with the exchange rates shown at the top of the calculator. They are estimates: your bank or card issuer may apply its own rate or a foreign-transaction fee.

What does “regular price” mean? Are promotions included?

The regular price is the standard price a provider charges, without promotions, trials or introductory discounts. For annual plans we use the renewal price. Promotions change often, so they are not included, but you can enter your own price with the Promo / Custom button in the calculator.

Is an annual plan really cheaper than paying monthly?

Often, but not always. The calculator converts every plan to a monthly equivalent so you can compare an annual plan with a monthly one, and it shows your estimated yearly total. Remember that an annual plan is billed in a single payment.

How can I lower my monthly subscription total?

Add your subscriptions to the calculator and open Smart Recommendations. They point out bundles, cheaper plans with ads, duplicate services and similar savings, and show how much you would save. You decide whether to apply each one.

Which province should I choose in the calculator?

Choose the province where you live, normally the one in your billing address, because that is generally the tax providers charge. If you are not sure, compare two provinces in the calculator: the totals update instantly.

How do I share my budget with someone?

Add your subscriptions, then press “Share my calculation” in the cart. FinalPrice creates a link that rebuilds the same cart and province for whoever opens it. No account is needed, and the other person can undo it to get their own cart back.

What if my service or promo price is not listed?

Use the Promo / Custom button to enter your own price, or add a custom expense with any name and amount. The tax of your province is applied like any other item. You can also suggest a missing service with the Contact button.

How do I report a wrong price?

Every plan in the calculator has a “Report Price” button. Tell us the price you see on the official page and we will review it. You can also write to us with the Contact button.

Is FinalPrice free? Do you store my data?

FinalPrice is free to use and needs no account. Your cart, custom items and province are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). If you send a message or report a price, we keep what you submit. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is FinalPrice available in French?

Yes. The whole site is available in French at finalprice.app/fr/, with Québec terminology such as TPS and TVQ. Use the EN | FR switch in the top bar; your choice is remembered.
